UCC DISASTER ALERT - Can You Help?

The earthquakes and floods  that have ravaged various areas of our world are devastating with major damage and loss of life. Our “One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) funds are used to support  initial emergency response and ongoing rebuilding efforts.  .

How to help:

* Pray for the people affectedi, their leaders, and emergency aid workers
*Send contributions through a check to Christ Church UCC, designated

“OGHS—Disaster Relief”

*Make a direct secure online donation to www.ucc.org/disaster
 

 

Knitting Group

How about trying some needlework in your spare time? Our knowledgeable women would love to help you with knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, hardanger, tatting or any other “needle” work you may find interesting or challenging. Join us at 9:15 AM on the first Tuesday of every month. If you prefer to knit or crochet at home, prayer shawls are always welcome.

We have a class for you...

As we hear about knitting and crocheting being done at home, the question again arises, “Could we have an evening needlework group geared toward beginner and advanced knitters?” Please share your ideas by signing up! (No Fridays, but what about Saturday mornings or afternoons, even Sunday afternoons or evenings?) Call Eleanor Lokey @ 367-5807 for questions and ideas.

 

 

 

MEAL MINISTRY

Calling all cooks. . . .would you enjoy preparing a meal for fellow church members who are new parents, ill, or recuperating from a hospital stay? The Outreach Committee is compiling a list of volunteer chefs who are willing to prepare and deliver a meal to members who would find comfort from this service.
